Thank you so much for giving me a ”starter” Skitterbot. They have since multiplied in number creating a great lesson for my students.
The Skitterbots invaded the Bradfield Explorations room. As an introduction to the Robotics Unit, 4th grade TAG students found robotic bugs hidden around the classroom. Their challenge was to discover what culture/planet left them in the room, what was the purpose of the Skitterbot, and why were they left behind.

The students created stories about the origin of each “bug” and investigated the mechanics and functions of the remote and the Skitterbot. This was a great way to introduce the students to the world of robots!
