EdTech's Must-Read K-12 IT Blogs
We have some great news to share with all of our Sardines out there. Our blog, The Committed Sardine, was just recently chosen by EdTech Magazine as one of the top 50 blogs for IT news and resources offered to educators. This was a really exciting announcement for us here at the 21st Century Fluency Project.
EdTech Magazine is an online publication that was founded in the Fall of 2003. It's published by CDW-G, a leading provider for technologies that support businesses and education all over America. As such, the EdTech mag specializes in articles and resources that focus on leveraging technology trends in K-12 schools and also higher learning institutes. Their top 50 blog choices represent what they feel are the top contenders in 21st century ed tech news among all the online publications they source while compiling their list.
In a recent message to us, TMG Custom Media content manager Jimmy Daly stated his appreciation for the material we've provided to the education and IT communities that visit the Committed Sardine regularly. It is truly an honour to have been chosen for such a great list, and also to be featured along with some of the blogs that we ourselves have come to admire such as Edutopia, Mind/Shift, and Doug Johnson's The Blue Skunk.
This would not have been possible, however, without all of you—our beloved Sardines. When we first began The Committed Sardine blog back in 2008, we shared a vision of being able to bring the best of education and technology news and resources to our readers. It was our intention to provide our Sardines with a valuable foundation of the most relevant and useful (and often entertaining) stories we could find. 4 years and almost 2,500 posts later, we'll still going strong, and you have supported us every step of the way. We're looking forward to bringing you even more exciting stories and features as our world and the fields of education and technology continue to change and grow well into the future.
EdTech has featured the complete list of the top 50 blogs they've chosen on their website, and we encourage you to check it out and see all the other great contributors to K-12 education that made the bill. In the meantime, to all our Sardines and to EdTech Magazine, we thank you for being with us!
