I am in talks with people about creating a Common Core Plus. More about that as it unfolds; I have an article coming out about this in the near future. For now, we should see Wibbitz as a shot over the bow. As we see words yield to the New Media Collage (see my Ed Leadership article Orchestrating the Media Collage for more information), we will see services like Wibbitz emerge. The Common Core, which addresses basically letters and numbers (with some nods to media), will be seen as an incomplete approach to literacy going forward.
